The freshest, highest-quality leaves are harvested on the Yellow Mountain, hence the name ‘Yellow Mountain Maofeng Tea. The majority of the tea trees are cultivated around the Peachblossom Peak (Taohuafeng), which is distinguished by its high elevation, dense woods, short daylight hours, thick fog, and other prevailing natural factors. The moistening of the tea leaves by clouds and fogs, as well as the absence of severe weather conditions contribute to their remarkably high quality. Around the Qingming Festival, the fresh Yellow Mountain Maofeng tea is prepared by the careful selection of the tea leaves, steaming, rolling, and then baking of them all on the same day.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_column_text el_class=”justi”]This processing method dates back all the way to the Qing Dynasty. The Yellow Mountains are home to many well-known sources that are ideal for making Yellow Mountain Mao Feng tea and guaranteeing its remarkable flavour. The distinctive features of Yellow Mountain Mao Feng tea include slightly curled leaves, a slender star-shaped appearance, and a golden, yellowish-green hue. The aroma of the
brewed tea is subtly sweet and reminiscent of that of an orchid.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”2842″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1711627373243{border-left-width: 3px !important;padding-top: 10px !important;padding-right: 20px !important;padding-bottom: 10px !important;padding-left: 20px !important;border-left-color: #ba3818 !important;border-left-style: solid !important;}”]

Preparation

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_class=”justi”]We recommend using a glass or porcelain tea set for the beverage. Make sure to rinse the teacups and teapot with hot water. Use approximately 5 – 7 grams of tea leaves (2 – 3 teaspoons) for every 150 – 250 ml of water. Pour 70 °C – 75 °C water over the tea leaves and steep for about one minute for the first and second infusions. Gradually increase the steeping time and temperature for each subsequent infusion.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1661274698883{padding-top: 3% !important;padding-right: 3% !important;padding-bottom: 3% !important;padding-left: 3% !important;background-color: #ba3818 !important;}” el_class=”feher elrejt”][/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Huangshan Maofeng is a Chinese green tea.
