Rooibos tea contains a great deal of antioxidants, enzymes, and vitamins that contribute to maintaining the youthfulness of our skin, it also has anti-inflammatory properties, as well as capability of aiding against an array of diseases. Even though it has low levels of tannin, it is rich in minerals including calcium, manganese, fluoride, zinc, magnesium, and copper. The tea has an adequate caramel and vanilla flavour with a hint of smoke and has been compared to hibiscus tea in terms of its sweetness. Mixing in a little lemon or honey into the tea can enhance its peculiar and delicious flavour profile.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_column_text el_class=”justi”]With rooibos being a herbal tea and all, it does not contain caffeine, much like many other herbal teas. Therefore, those who are sensitive to caffeine can consume this tea at any time of the day and they can do so without experiencing any adverse reactions. As a result of the fermentation process rooibos tea goes through, it takes on a unique red colour and a distinctive sweet taste. Without this procedure, the tea would likely have a hay-like aroma paired with a green colour. Around the world, Rooibos tea is becoming increasingly popular. In contrast to how green and black teas are produced with that being the utilisation of the leaves of the plant, rooibos – a South African plant – is prepared from its stems.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”4338″ img_size=”full”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1712905336218{border-left-width: 3px !important;padding-top: 10px !important;padding-right: 20px !important;padding-bottom: 10px !important;padding-left: 20px !important;border-left-color: #ba3818 !important;border-left-style: solid !important;}”]

History

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_class=”justi”]African tribes have been consuming this fantastic tea for centuries, well aware of its remarkable healing properties. However, as time passed, the number of tribes has been steadily declining, meaning that whatever knowledge they had with them regarding Rooibos tea was nearly lost. Fortunately, a botanist under the name Carl Humberg rediscovered the plant and the tea made from it, which led to its rise in popularity. Since it was incredibly difficult to import conventional green and black tea leaves from Asia during World War II, rooibos tea emerged as a viable substitute due to its pleasant flavour and superior medicinal qualities.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1712905397931{border-left-width: 3px !important;padding-top: 10px !important;padding-right: 20px !important;padding-bottom: 10px !important;padding-left: 20px !important;border-left-color: #ba3818 !important;border-left-style: solid !important;}”]

Preparation

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text el_class=”justi”]Like all other loose-leaf teas, African rooibos tea should be steeped in boiling water. Add in one teaspoon of tea shoots into 500 – 600 ml of boiling water. Given that rooibos tea is not viable to become bitter, there’s no need to be vigilant about the water’s temperature. We advise you to steep for a minimum of 5 – 8 minutes. According to scientific research, most of the polyphenol content in the tea is released from the stems within the first five minutes of steeping. To extract even more antioxidants, feel free to let the tea brew for up to 10 minutes.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Rooibos tea contains a great deal of antioxidants, enzymes, and vitamins that contribute to maintaining the youthfulness of our skin, it also has anti-inflammatory properties, as well as capability of aiding against an array of diseases.

Place of origin: SOUTH AFRICA

[60
