The tea possesses remarkable health benefits we should not take for granted. Consuming Ban Tian Yao lessens body fat and helps the body get rid of toxins, and it assists you in maintaining a healthy metabolic balance. It is great for encouraging a healthy lifestyle and to gift to someone as a “green” gift.
Preparation
Use a moderately sized Yixing clay teapot or a Taiwan cup for the tea. Preheat 150 ml of water and add in 3 – 4 grams of tea. When the mixture is nearing the boiling point – around 95 °C – and you can hear the water rumble, turn the kettle off. Add the hot, but not boiling water to the mixture and let it simmer for about 3 minutes. The finished tea will taste sweet and fragrant. It’s okay to steep it for a longer time as well. The flavour intensifies and becomes more prominent after a prolonged brewing. It can be steeped up to 6 – 8 times.
